Oedipus El Rey: Assistant Director’s Perspective

“I am excited to see our local actors exposed to a process that is not very common here in Seattle theatre. A process where they are not told their blocking, what to do and how to do it, but where instead, actors are guided to make those findings by themselves.

“I do think this makes the play stronger, as the play becomes the result of 8+ creative minds as opposed to just one.

“I believe we are telling a relevant story with honesty, powerful imagery and skillful stage-craft. I can’t wait to put our work in front of the audience, to see what they have to say.”
